New guidence when traveling to Leatherwood with horses

Attention Horse Owners:

Per the advice of our veterinarians, We will begin accepting reservations again for stall rentals and day riding after 12/14/25. Guided trail rides are operating regularly schedule.

Upon check-in at our Visitor Center, Owners must provide current vaccination records and coggins certificates prior to unloading.

We request that horse owners take temperatures twice a day, 2 to 3 days prior to arriving and every day they are here, as this is proving the most effective way of indicating the spread of the virus.

Guests are required to bring their own water buckets, feed buckets, muck buckets and pitchforks. Guests must take them with them when they go. We will provide a receptacle to dump manure. Guests are responsible for the complete removal of all hay and manure from stalls upon departure.

Horses will be restricted to West Barn stalls only. No turnout area will be provided. Please practice bio-safety procedures while on the property. Keep your horses to themselves and do not interact with other horses on the property.

All out-of-state guests must have a 30-day health certificate. Extended EECVI health certificates are not allowed.

If you have any questions about your horse or any in your herd being possibly exposed or sick, please don’t come.
