Leatherwood Mountains Resort is nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina near Boone & Blowing Rock. This year-round resort is home to a premier equine facility, luxury lodging accommodations & miles of pristine riding trails that will satisfy every level of rider. Your event will allow participants to enjoy the most beautiful views that the Mountains have to offer from the back of a horse. The region is rich is history and culture, and there could be many opportunities to explore the area if the schedule permitted.
History
Leatherwood Mountains Resort was established in 1986 as a premier resort centered around the equestrian lifestyle. Our pristine surroundings, lovely grounds, top-notch facilities, and friendly staff assure that all participants will enjoy your event.
Facilities
Equine Facilities available for your use:
- 100’ x 220’ Outdoor Arena with Grass Footing that joins the covered pavilion
- 70’ x 120’ – “Performance” Arena
- 70’ x 120’ lighted, Covered Pavilion that would be available for you use during the day & after dark. (Ground work and light riding only – footing requires light work only)
- 45’ & 60’ Stationary round pens
- Multi-use obstacle course
- 50+ Miles of mountain trails for pleasure and cross-training
- Ample parking and restroom facilities
- On-site restaurant
Cost – $250 for facility use (Friday PM – Saturday PM) $100 for each additional day
